On Saturday, January 11, three high school band students competed in the ATSSB Area Band auditions for the opportunity to play in the ATSSB All-State Band. In addition, one student competed earlier in the year in the ATSSB Area Jazz auditions.
The Bellville High School Band recently announced its annual Chicken Spaghetti Dinner Concert will be Feb. 1. Dinner tickets are available to purchase for $12 from band students or the head director, Kenneth Peters. Chicken spaghetti plates can be picked up Feb. 1, at Concordia Hall between 4:30 and 6:30.
The Bellville High School Livestock Judging Team had a strong performance at the National Western Roundup in Denver, Colorado. Darcy Luedke earned 2nd place individually, and Paisley Miller placed 7th in the High Individual category, showcasing their hard work and expertise. Their success highlights the importance of agricultural education and the dedication of Bellville students.
The Bellville Drone Club had an impressive weekend at Cy Falls High School, earning the Airmanship Award, placing third in the alliance teamwork mission, and finishing first overall in the qualification rounds. These achievements showcase their skill, teamwork, and dedication to drone safety and technology. Their success highlights the talent of Bellville students and their hard work in this growing field.
The Bellville High School cheerleaders are competing in the UIL Spirit State Championships on January 17, 2025, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. The team will be celebrated with a sendoff at 10:00 a.m., as the school community lines the halls to cheer them on. This marks an exciting opportunity for the cheerleaders to showcase their skills and represent Bellville with pride.
On Monday, Nov. 11, Bellville TAFE competed at the Area 5 TAFE Leadership Competition in Huntsville, Texas. Students participated in contests and competitions related to education. Nine teams advanced to the state competition which will be held at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas.
Bellville FFA competed in Area XI LDE competition, and earned sweepstakes title. Eight teams are advancing to the state competition in Huntsville on Dec. 6.
On Saturday, November 9, Bellville Science Olympiad travelled to Cy-Falls High School to compete in an early invitational.
This year, 45 teams competed at the Cy-Falls Invitational and several Bellville teams placed in the top ten.
Bellville High School Student Council has sponsored the annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat celebrations for the past three years. This year, the event featured multiple clubs participating in handing out candy and the Bellville Playmakers' own haunted house.
The new Bellville TAFE chapter will be selling "Boo Grams" during lunch to fundraise for club activities, competitions, and to celebrate Halloween. Buy one for a friend for only one or two dollars.
