The Bellville High School Livestock Judging Team had a strong performance at the National Western Roundup in Denver, Colorado. Darcy Luedke earned 2nd place individually, and Paisley Miller placed 7th in the High Individual category, showcasing their hard work and expertise. Bellville High School seniors are voting on the theme for Prom 2025, with options including Red Carpet, Enchanted Forest, Under the Sea, and Great Gatsby. The winning theme will shape the decorations, attire, and atmosphere for the big event. Voting closes on January 17, 2025, giving students a chance to decide how they’ll celebrate this memorable night.
The Bellville High School cheerleaders are competing in the UIL Spirit State Championships on January 17, 2025, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. The team will be celebrated with a sendoff at 10:00 a.m., as the school community lines the halls to cheer them on. This marks an exciting opportunity for the cheerleaders to showcase their skills and represent Bellville with pride.

Bellville High School FFA members excelled at the 2024 Austin County Fair, earning top honors in multiple categories, including Grand Champion Steer, Hog, and Broilers. Students also shone in showmanship and livestock judging events, with numerous first-place wins across the board. Their impressive performance highlighted the dedication and skill of Bellville’s FFA program.
The Bellville High School LEO Club volunteered at this year’s Senior Citizen Day during the Austin County Fair, bringing joy to local seniors by serving lunch and playing bingo. The event, held on October 9th, was a fun-filled day for community members 65 and older. The LEO Club’s involvement was greatly appreciated and highlighted the students’ dedication to giving back to the Bellville community.
After ten years away, the Bellville Brahmas have returned to UIL Team Tennis. The Brahmas advanced to Bi-District after a successful season, and are now on their way to play the Needville Blue Jays at the Area playoff game. Will the Brahmas replicate their past advancements? On October 8, Bellville High School held its annual College and Career Fair for junior and senior students. With participation from 65-70 colleges, universities, and industry employers, students had the opportunity to explore their educational and career options. The event, organized by Mrs. Huerta, gave students a head start on planning for life after high school.
With rivalry and romance wrapped into one, Bellville Playmakers' highly anticipated production of "Oklahoma!" is sure to impress. Featuring a mixture of soft-hearted duets and up-beat, ensemble performances, Caleb Jackson will star as Curly McLain and Tylin Jackson will perform as Laurey Williams. The Brahma Family will not be disappointed with what the Playmakers have in store for December!
The Bellville Cross Country team had an impressive showing at the UIL 4A District 22 Meet on October 7, with the Varsity Girls finishing 2nd overall and qualifying for regionals. Notable top finishers included Crosby Stark (3rd place) and Ava Poenitzsch (6th place), while Natalie Lutz claimed the JV District Champion title. Congratulations to all the runners, and good luck to the Varsity Girls at regionals!
