Thursday, Nov. 19, the Bellville Brahmas played against Waco Connally in the bi-district playoff match on their road to state. They swept the Cadets away in a 35-0 win, guaranteeing them one more game in the season.
The Brahmas were undefeated district champions this year. Their record so far is 8-3, including the game against Connally.
Last year, the Brahmas were undefeated until the final state game against the Gilmer Buckeyes. Despite the difference, there’s no doubt the team has a strong chance at a long playoff run.
The Bellville Brahmas will face an old foe, the Silsbee Tigers, on Nov. 22, at Klein Memorial Stadium. The two last played against each other in the region semifinal in the 2023-2024 season. Tickets are $10 and available online.
