The Bellville High School LEO Club members played a key role in making this year’s Senior Citizen Day at the Austin County Fair a success. Held on October 9, 2024, the event welcomed seniors from across the area for a day of music, lunch, and bingo at the Bellville Fairgrounds Expo Building. With an admission fee of just $3.00, seniors were treated to an afternoon of fun, laughter, and community spirit.
Ten members of the LEO Club volunteered their time, helping to serve lunch and playing bingo alongside the senior attendees. The students demonstrated a remarkable level of enthusiasm and care, ensuring the day was not only well-organized but also filled with personal connections and plenty of smiles.

Senior Citizen Day, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., is an annual tradition at the Austin County Fair, offering seniors a chance to connect, play bingo, and enjoy a meal together. After lunch, seniors are encouraged to explore the fair’s exhibits, such as the Country Store, continuing the festivities long after the official event ends.
For many of the seniors, the interaction with the LEO Club volunteers was a highlight of the day.
As always, the Bellville High School LEO Club continues to inspire with its commitment to service, embodying the spirit of community that Bellville is known for.
